This extrusion company was getting ready to add a second extrusion line, and had plans for additional lines in the future. The first extrusion line was cooled with a portable chiller, and adding another portable unit, with the prospect of adding even more portable units in the future, started to seem a bit cumbersome.

The large portable units required would take a lot of floor space, they blow hot air back into the facility, and then there are simply more and more chillers to maintain as time goes on.

Advantage Engineering provided a central chiller that would take care of the current requirement, and provide for expansion planned over the next few years.
The chilling system was completely pre packaged on one skid for easy installation. The plant had to simply bring over power, and the piping to and from the process.
The condenser was placed outdoors, so that the hot air was no longer blown back into the plant area.

Installation was simplified, floor space was opened up by placing the chiller on a mezzanine, and the heat from the process is now released outdoors.
