Adding multiple extrusion lines with overall high throughputs, and needed to have the ability to switch from the dried material, to an un-dried powder material without much difficulty. The growth would happen in stages, and some existing infrastructure (silos, railcar unloading, etc.) had to be incorporated wherever possible.

The installation would take place in a renovated facility, that incorporated what were once separate operating facilities. 

Conair incorporated a large capacity dryer and blender for up to 5,000 lb/hr for the first phase of the project. The design, installation and start-up were handled by a Conair project management team that followed the project through to completion. Phase 2 used nearly identical equipment.

Both phases incorporated equipment that would handle the powder and the pellets, so when the material switchover was required, it was simply a matter of switching material supply lines, and either connecting to the dryer system, or by-passing it.
