This was an experienced extrusion company, primarily focusing on custom extrusion. This opportunity to get into fence production presented itself, but speed to market was going to be important in order to hit the seasonal market timing.

There was some concern because this was the company's first venture into powder extrusion with twin screw extruders.

Davis-Standard offered a complete turn-key solution, with guaranteed production rates. With the first line, Davis-Standard took responsibility for the material handling, process cooling, extruders, tooling, dies, and the downstream equipment. The start-up and debug was also included.

The plant personnel set up the plant area, provided the power and piping infrastructure, and set up the equipment when it arrived on site. From there, Davis-Standard was totally responsible for getting the production line up to operation at the guaranteed rates.
